Rich Meyer

Rich Meyer, just returned from Hebron/Al-Khalil, has served over the last six years with Christian Peacemaker Teams (www.cpt.org). CPT is an initiative among Mennonite and Church of the Brethren congregations and Friends Meetings that works to reduce violence around the world by placing small teams trained in nonviolent intervention in situations of lethal intergroup conflict.
Hebron/Al-Khalil, in the West Bank, is an urban flashpoint for conflict between Palestinians and Israeli settlers and is frequently in the news. CPT has had a team in Hebron/Al-Khalil since June 1995. Meyer's extensive experience in Hebron/Al-Khalil includes having led four learning/action delegations from the US. Meyer also coordinates the "Campaign for Secure Dwellings," an initiative to end the demolition of Palestinian homes.
