Important Perspectives on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Ali Abunimah &
Norman Finkelstein

The Current Situation:
What Does It Hold for the Future?

Sunday, January 30, 2005, 2:30pm
Little Theater
Oak Park River Forest High School
201 N. Scoville Ave., Oak Park, IL

Will Bush's second-term commitment to establish a Palestinian state bring progress toward Palestinian-Israeli peace? What changes will result from the Palestinian presidential elections? What are the ramifications of Sharon's Gaza withdrawal plan? What will be the impact of the growing movement in Israel to refuse military service directed toward settlement evacuation? What is the status of construction of the separation barrier? Why the recent upsurge in discussion among analysts, activists, and diplomats about future political outcomes, including "one-state" and "two-state" solutions?

Who better to discuss the situation than Ali Abunimah and Norman Finkelstein, two of the most popular and engaging speakers from our past seasons.

This event is co-sponsored by Not In My Name (www.nimn.org).
