Mary Elizabeth King

In her new book A Quiet Revolution, renowned civil rights activist Mary King presents the previously untold account of the first Palestinian intifada (1987-1993) as a massive nonviolent social mobilization which stood in contrast to the PLO’s military doctrine. King draws on history to argue that nonviolent strategies can lead to Palestinian-Israeli peace.
